Supply Chain Modules
Electronic Data Interchange
The EDI module enables your business to transmit standard (ANSIX.12, EDIFACT) electronic data transactions between you and your trading partners (vendors/customers) automatically.
MasterTools uses a service provider to facilitate the transfer of transactions typically in an XML format utilizing a secure FTP internet connection. Subscription to the service provider is a requirement and we can facilitate the establishment of that relationship. After the service provider relationship is established, trading partner transactions are specified, defined, and mapped for automatic transfer. A testing process occurs between your business and your trading partner. After successful testing, the transaction goes into production mode. Automatic transfer of the transaction is setup to occur at the required frequency (daily, hourly, etc.)
Many vendors/customers require EDI functionality in order to do business. MasterTools EDI allows you to accommodate existing or new trading partners.
Transactions include, but are not limited to:
810 Invoice
830 Planning Schedule
850 Purchase Order
855 Purchase Order Acknowledgment
856 Advanced Ship Notice
862 Shipping Schedule
